Volbracht 2122; Stafleu 14.890; Uellner 1783; Nissen 1987. - A selection of 10 plates of this extremely rare work, with very beautiful and finely coloured illustrations of polpores. We have plate numbers 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 14-16. The artists belonged to a group of famous flower-painters from Vienna. Strenzel was a teacher at the Academy, Reinel painted flowers at the "Porzellan"-manufactory. The book has been published 2 years after the death of Trattinnick in 1849. The bookseller Sammer took the plates from the author's estate. Stafleus remark that they were also used in Fungi austriaci (1805) is not correct. Title a bit spotted. The plates nice and clean, inner margin of title and plate 1 strengthened with tape, plate 2 repaiired in outer margin. Modern half-cloth, 40 x 25 cm
