Smith and Lois Long, in a very rare limited folio edition. The texts on mushroom hunting, identification and cooking were combined with lithographs by Long and Cage. This is the scarce second issue of the text with calligraphed plates. and endpapers printed after two lithos by Cage. He cofounded the New York mycological society and was interested in mushroom hunting until his old age - see the nice article in Der Tintling 1/2010 by Wilhelm Schlüter, including a photo of Cage in the woods (a picture from the volume offered here, taken in fact in the seventies and not in Darmstadt 1990).
